Elmer at about age 8 with Auntie’s electric car in Cleveland, Ohio where North lived until age 11 (he was born in Syracuse, NY) . Jane on the other hand was a Chicago girl.

Trout Lake from the shore. Several memorable summers were spent on the Lake for a vacation living in a tent. Adventures were had by all, especially the parents. Transportation was by the 1942 “Caddie.”

Betsy the famous 1942 Cadillac that transported the family to many destinations. It was described as “huge” with a lot of room in the back seat. During its stay as the family vehicle it underwent beauty treatments from light with a dark top to dark top with light colored body. It was much used and much loved. Barb learned to drive with this car.

In the early Jane did some modeling including for hairdressers. She was very striking and was not afraid to pose for the camera. She was an outstanding homemaker as attested to by the local newspaper and showed herself as a mom with two daughters who were on the scene the time. It was a good period in the early years.
